A-Lan Reynolds is a Senior Security Consultant at Talisman. She has over 34 years of experience spanning a diversity of high technology industries including security, telecommunications, petroleum exploration, and aerospace. She is an expert in non-lethal security solutions, having worked with foreign governments, law enforcement agencies, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Department of Defense in applying these new technologies to security environments where lethal force may not be applicable.
Ms. Reynolds retired from Raytheon Company, where she was the Director of Non-Lethal and Counter Terrorism Security Solutions within the Advanced Security & Directed Energy Product Line, with profit and loss accountability. She had responsibility for a portfolio of products and contracts, which included threat detection, threat mitigation, and response and recovery solutions. Her group developed solutions applied for the benefit of commercial and government Homeland Security and Critical Infrastructure security problems throughout the world, including the Near East, Middle East and South Asia. In this role she addressed diverse applications of non-lethal technologies, layered security and threat mitigation including area denial, protection from piracy, crowd control, and high value asset protection. She has a deep understanding of the tactical and practical considerations required to successfully implement real world product solutions in global markets, including technical risk, adoption, regulatory and political stakeholder acceptance, training, installation, logistics, customer management, service and product evolution.
Prior to her work at Raytheon Company, Ms. Reynolds co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of the start-up wireless telecommunications company n-Stream Communications LLC, served as Director of Systems Architecture for SpectraPoint Wireless LLC, served as the Strategy and Business Development Manager for Texas Instruments’ Systems Technology Center, and was a Senior Staff Geophysicist for Mobil Oil Company for over 12 years.
Ms. Reynolds holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Geophysics from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. She holds patents in non-uniformity compensation for infrared detectors and solid-state millimeter wave security applications.
