Kerry Landis is a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant to Talisman. He has over 40 years of experience as an industry consultant, senior manager and inspection team leader at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and U.S. Navy Submarine Officer (CDR-Retired). Mr. Landis is a subject matter expert and provides support in the areas of regulatory oversight, organizational and programmatic effectiveness assessments, safety and risk assessments, nuclear reactor construction, testing, operations, security, root cause evaluations, corrective action program assessments, and special projects. He has served as an industry consultant and team leader for numerous Mock NRC Inspection Assessments (using NRC Supplemental Inspection Manual Chapters 71152, 95001, 95002, and 95003), programmatic assessments, safety culture assessments; root cause evaluations, and recovery team efforts. Mr. Landis has also served on a number of nuclear power plant safety review committees and oversight boards including: Chairman of the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Safety Review Committee (NSRC); Member of the Fort Calhoun Station (FCS) Safety and Review Committee (SARC); Member of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Nuclear Oversight Board (NOB); and Member of the Core Team Subcommittee of the Management Safety Review Committee (MSRC) at Xcel Energy for the Monticello and Prairie Island Stations.
Mr. Landis received a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Illinois University.
